Albury Rescue Squad is a volunteer emergency rescue service and part of VRA Rescue NSW, a leading volunteer-based organisation providing specialist rescue services to communities across New South Wales 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. VRA Rescue NSW operates more than 50 specialist rescue locations across the state, with trained volunteers responding to a wide range of emergencies. The Albury Rescue Squad provides specialist rescue capability to Albury and the surrounding region. Our trained volunteers respond to emergencies including road crash rescue, general land rescue, vertical rescue, inland water and swift water incidents, industrial and domestic rescues, as well as supporting other emergency services. Our mission is simple: to provide a professional, reliable and highly trained volunteer rescue service that protects life and supports our community in times of need. Through ongoing training, maintaining specialist equipment and working closely with other emergency services, we aim to ensure our community has access to skilled rescue personnel whenever an emergency occurs.
