Win a prize and help women experiencing homelessness move from crisis into secure housing and a better life.Homelessness does not discriminate and it's been devastating for women. It could be your sister, your friend, your mother, your grandmother. It can happen slowly. Small changes over time. Or it can happen instantly through relationship or family breakdown. We see how many women each week are killed by domestic violence. We see how many women flee from domestic violence with nowhere to go.In addition to accommodation services for up to 60 women, Catherine House do extraordinary work offering health services, counselling, mental health and NDIS support, legal and financial services, brokerage support, personal development and employment and training through the Women’s Centre Education and Employment Program.Currently under construction is the New Generation Catherine House due to be completed in mid 2027. This landmark eight-story development will provide more South Australian women with access to safe crisis accommodation and trauma-informed recovery support.70% of women at Catherine House exit into stable housing and with ongoing outreach support, Catherine House help these women plan a future.
