City Brothers Football Club Inc. has proudly supported the development of junior football in Mackay for more than 40 years, providing a welcoming environment where young players can learn, grow and enjoy the game. Built on strong community values, the club is committed to developing not only talented footballers, but also teamwork, respect and lifelong friendships. In 2026, City Brothers is proudly supporting its Azzurri Under 9 team as they prepare to represent the club at the Premier Invitational on the Gold Coast, one of the largest and most prestigious junior football tournaments in Australia and New Zealand. The tournament attracts hundreds of teams from across Australia (and overseas), giving young players the opportunity to test themselves against high-quality opposition in a professionally run, elite football environment. U9 teams play nine matches over three days, with grading rounds leading into multiple competition divisions, ensuring every team enjoys meaningful and competitive football. This exciting opportunity allows the Azzurri U9s to challenge themselves against some of the country’s best young footballers while proudly representing City Brothers, Mackay and our local community. Through the generosity of sponsors, supporters and fundraising efforts, these young players will have the chance to create unforgettable memories, build lifelong friendships and continue their football journey on one of Australia’s biggest junior stages.
