Emmy-Lou’s Charity Cook Ups is a grassroots, community-based initiative in Maitland, run by volunteers on a not-for-profit basis. Community-funded and cooked with love, we provide nutritious and delicious three-course home-cooked meals—FREE every week. 💕 Our meals support Maitland locals doing it tough, including people experiencing homelessness, people living with illness or limited mobility, single parents, struggling families, and anyone facing food insecurity or loneliness. Our mission is to offer more than a meal: warmth, kindness and connection, helping people feel cared for and part of their community. Donations help us buy ingredients and meal supplies, keep our weekly cook ups going, and provide free Christmas Day meals and children’s Christmas gift bags. Every donation helps us keep cooking and sharing meals with people who need them most. ❤️
