About this raffle

The Inshore Flats Project is a collective of recreational anglers, fishing industry professionals, local businesses and scientists, united by a shared commitment to protecting Queensland’s extraordinary coastal flats and the fisheries they support. To date, our focus has been a grassroots effort to oppose the trials of 1.6 km-long tunnel nets as new commercial fishing gear by the Queensland Department of Primary Industries along the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef coastline.While the Inshore Flats Project was urgently formed in response to the tunnel net threat, we are now shifting towards a longer-term, proactive approach to protect and conserve Queensland’s extraordinary coastal flats environments and the world-class fisheries they support.
