About this raffle

Over the October long weekend in 2024 my husband Simon began showing some unusual cognitive symptoms, after investigations we recieved news that rocked our world, a Glioblastoma (GBM) tumour was found and just 20 days later Simon was gone.Simon didn’t even get a chance to try to fight the GBM with Chemotherapy or Radiation, it was just too aggressive with his medical oncologist saying “I’ve just never seen anything like this before”. In March 2027 I will be Striding in Memory of…."Simo”, by trekking the Great Wall of China with the Mark Hughes Foundation (MHF) in honour of my amazing husband. I will also be trekking for Xander, a family friend who is currently living with a GBM and all the wonderful husbands of my beautiful Soul Sisters, Paul, Steve, Andrew & Richard, who's lives were also taken too soon by brain cancer. With your help we can continue to make a difference and to support the MHF and its mission to find a cure for brain cancer. Knowing the incredible impact MHF has on patients and their families, I’m inspired to do my part to help make a difference.My goal is to raise $5000, and every raffle ticket sold will help me to reach that target. Your support will go directly towards critical research, patient support programs, and other vital resources that MHF provides to brain cancer patients and their families. Buying a raffle ticket is quick and easy and you have the chance to win some amazing prizes that have all been donated to help me reach my fundraising goal.
