Mount Morgan Promotion and Development Inc Raffles
Mount Morgan Promotion and Development Inc [MMPAD], a not-for profit incorporated, ACNC registered community organisation. MMPAD was formed in 2006 and has since this time maintained its promotion and development purpose undertaking a range of activities that includes events and community projects which includes: • Collation and printing a fortnightly 16-page newsletter, the Mount Morgan Argus, which is delivered free of charge to all households in Mount Morgan. • Management of the accredited Mount Morgan Visitor Information (Explore) Centre, Railway Museum (since 2014) and Driver Reviver (since 2020) • Organising, planning and delivery of the Mount Morgan Wattle Day Festival and Mount Morgan Twilight Christmas Carols and other events and projects when the opportunity arises • Organising the annual - Mount Morgan Buy Local Promotion in conjunction with Advance Rockhampton and Mount Morgan Businesses • Organising annual Christmas Lights Competition • Installation of barbecue and picnic tables at Railway Museum • Maintenance of the Mount Morgan website Projects Include • Refurbishment of interpretive signage at historic sites in Mount Morgan • Installing soundscapes for the Railway Museum • Installing a new Visitor sign at the Railway Museum • Development and installation of CBD QR Posts and Plaques in Mount Morgan CBD • Fingerling release into the No7 Dam is planned under the DPI Fish Restocking permit and is planned annually.
