Suzuki Music Education Queensland is a community of families, students and teachers dedicated to nurturing children through music using the internationally recognised Suzuki Method. Founded on Dr Shinichi Suzuki’s belief that every child has the ability to learn and develop in a positive and encouraging environment, the Suzuki approach is about much more than learning to play an instrument. Through music, children develop confidence, perseverance, self-discipline and a lifelong love of learning. Across Queensland, our students learn piano, violin, viola, cello and other instruments with accredited Suzuki teachers and come together throughout the year for concerts, workshops, group lessons, graduations and special events. Our annual Spring Festival is a highlight, bringing students, families and teachers together for two wonderful days of learning, performing and making music as a community. Funds raised through our Spring Festival Raffle help Suzuki Music Education Queensland continue to provide enriching musical opportunities for our children, support teacher development and bring our Suzuki community together through events and performances. Our mission is simple: to nurture confident, capable and kind young people through the joy of music.
