Childhood cancer doesn’t just disrupt routines – it can dismantle a family’s sense of security and stability. Parents often face impossible decisions. One may leave work entirely to be at their child’s side, and income can diminish overnight. The emotional toll is relentless and impacts the entire family – grandparents step in, and siblings carry fear and uncertainty. And it doesn’t end when treatment stops. As Australia’s only national charity dedicated to supporting children with cancer and their families both within and beyond hospital walls, Redkite focuses on addressing the trauma, financial strain and lasting burden childhood cancer has on all aspects of family life. For over 40 years, we’ve stood beside children with cancer and the people who care for them – providing essential emotional, financial and practical support when families need it most. Redkite receives no direct Government funding and relies on the generous support of our partners and community to help fund our services. When childhood cancer changes everything, families need strength, stability and support – every step of the way.To learn more about Redkite’s support, please visit www.redkite.org.au
